Ergonomics is an applied science concerned with designing and arranging things that people use, so that the people and things interact most efficiently and safely. It is also referred to as Human Engineering. Proper use of ergonomics can have a tremendous impact in reducing repetitive motion injuries that result when an employee's workstation is poorly designed or when equipment is not sufficient for the task being performed.
